FRESA is the updated project of legendary Italian restaurateur Antonio Fresa, well known in St. Petersburg for his restaurants Sea, Signora, Saviv, KOI, and Marso Polo. The Fresa restaurant is located on the ground floor of the SO/ St. Petersburg Hotel at 6 Voznesensky Street.
The name has changed slightly (it used to be Fresa’s): now without the apostrophe — simply FRESA. The restaurant proudly bears the family name of its owner and truly reflects his personality. The interior has been enriched with bright books, postmodern table lamps, vintage chandeliers, and retro photographs, all of which “relax” the restaurant’s elegant design. These touches have softened the formality and stiffness of the space.
The menu has also undergone changes — the classic Italian cuisine that forms the basis of the concept is now presented in a lighter way. The dishes are familiar yet never boring, and absolutely suited for everyday dining: duck croquettes with apple chutney, scallop crudo with Apulian olive oil and bottarga, duck liver pâté with jam. A fresh take on Italian classics includes cod loin Ligurian style, filet mignon with baked fennel, or gnocchi with whelk and black chanterelles. Everything has been refreshed — from the menu to desserts and wines!
The main focus of the renewed restaurant is the feeling of eternal summer, sunshine, and that very dolce vita! See you at the new FRESA!
